Workshop Overview

The Cyber-HIVE Workshop offers a deep dive into Fundamentals of Deep Learning, with a specialized focus on cybersecurity applications. Taught by Dr. Mariofanna Milanova, an IEEE Senior Member, Fulbright U.S. Scholar, and NVIDIA DLI University Ambassador, this course blends theoretical foundations with practical, skills-based exercises. Technical Requirements

Each participant will be provided with dedicated access to a fully configured, GPU-accelerated server in the cloud. A personal desktop or laptop capable of running the latest version of Chrome or Firefox is required.

About the Instructor

Dr. Mariofanna Milanova is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) and has been a faculty member since 2001. She holds an M.Sc. in Expert Systems and Artificial Intelligence and a Ph.D. in Engineering and Computer Science from the Technical University, Sofia, Bulgaria. She conducted post-doctoral research in visual perception at the University of Paderborn, Germany.

Dr. Milanova is a recognized expert in deep learning and artificial intelligence, with research supported by NSF, NIH, DARPA, DoD, Homeland Security, NATO, Nokia Bell Lab, and NOKIA, Finland. She has published over 130 research papers, including 53 journal papers, 45 book chapters, and numerous conference papers, and holds two patents.
