on April 5, 2025, brought together an extraordinary group of students, professionals, and researchers united by a shared passion for advancing their expertise at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity.
Under the guidance of Dr. Mariofanna Milanova, a distinguished professor, IEEE Senior Member, and NVIDIA-Certified Instructor, attendees engaged in an intensive hands-on experience that combined theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. The workshop was designed as part of the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, providing participants with cutting-edge tools and frameworks essential for modern cybersecurity challenges.
Throughout the full-day session, participants explored the core concepts of deep learning, learned to train and optimize models using PyTorch and Pandas, and applied these models to practical cybersecurity scenarios like threat detectionand anomaly analysis. Every attendee was provided with dedicated access to a GPU-accelerated cloud server, ensuring an optimal environment for training models and running complex computations without technical limitations.
One of the standout aspects of the workshop was the skills-based coding assessments, which gave each participant the opportunity to apply their learning in a structured, measurable way. We are proud to share that all attendees successfully completed the assessments and earned their official NVIDIA DLI certificates, a testament to their hard work, focus, and commitment to continuous learning.
This event wasn’t just about gaining a certificate—it was about building a foundation for the future of AI in cybersecurity, fostering collaboration, and encouraging participants to think critically about how deep learning can be used to solve some of the most pressing security challenges facing industries today.
